10-Station Aviation Lab: 8 Edustation Pro's & 2 Pilot Pro 2i's

This comprehensive classroom Aviation Lab transforms a traditional room into a high-fidelity flight operations center. Designed for elementary, middle, and high schools, the Aviation Lab combines immersive flight simulation, standards-aligned curriculum, and career pathway exposure to create measurable student engagement and real-world skill development. It is a turnkey aviation STEM program aligned to district academic achievement, college and career readiness, and workforce development priorities.

Academic Skill Reinforcement

Designed for a class of 20 - 30 students, the lab utilizes eight Edustation Pro simulators and two Pilot Pro 2i sit-in flight simulators. Students apply core math and science concepts in real-world flight planning and decision-making, driving retention, engagement, and academic confidence.

Through structured mission-based instruction, students calculate distance, rate, and time; interpret data; and apply geometry and physics concepts in authentic scenarios. By crafting and executing flight plans, students reinforce classroom learning through application — not theory — improving comprehension, critical thinking and problem-solving skills. As skills increase, they qualify to fly the Pilot Pro 2i simulators.

Career Pathway Alignment

The Aviation Lab introduces students to high-demand sectors including engineering, computer science, aviation, air traffic control, and aircraft maintenance (A&P). Early exposure helps students visualize tangible career pathways while supporting district CTE and workforce readiness goals Structured Flight Crew Model

  • Students operate in two–three-person flight crews, learning to plan and execute missions collaboratively.
  • Students rotate through defined roles — Pilot, Co-Pilot, and Navigator — reinforcing communication, leadership, accountability, and teamwork. Crews create shared flight plans from their local “Home Field,” solving problems using physics, geometry, algebra, and structured decision-making. This role-based instructional model mirrors real aviation operations while strengthening essential workforce skills.

  • Classroom Sessions: The Aviation Lab meets twice a week for 2 hours over 8 weeks. (16 sessions). The first hour begins with a video on the subject and classroom instruction followed by one hour of flying in the simulators.
  • Curriculum: Our 16-session curriculum is easy to follow supported with work sheets, activities and alignments.  Each Learning hour is coupled to a simulator learning mission (NGSS/CC/CSTA).

Scalable Across Grade Bands

  • Elementary Schools: STEM engagement and foundational support for math, science and basic physics while learning to fly.
  • Middle Schools: Students apply physics, math, geometry and science by planning flights then flying them in the simulators.
  • High Schools: CTE-aligned aviation pathways and workforce exploration. Introduction of more complex navigation, weather systems, and weight-and-balance calculations.

Training and Support

STEMPilot will train the teaching staff and students by providing 6 weekly two (2) hour ZOOM training sessions. This support is to designed to help the teaching staff deliver an effecting and exciting lab for your students. Each simulator has easy to follow learning videos on the desktop and our Training Manual will take you and your students through the steps needed to fly quickly.

We offer Free tech support to all customers.

The 10-Station Aviation Lab includes two Pilot Pro 2i sit-in flight simulators, each featuring a 43" forward view and 22" cockpit display, and eight Edustation Pro simulators with 32” displays. The professional flight controls are housed in the metal instrument deck along with NAV & COM radios, autopilot, trim, flaps, adjustable altimeter, switches and more. The custom-built PC delivers stunning graphics.

Built for long-term institutional durability, the welded steel frames and professional-grade components are designed specifically for classroom environments.

Our tutored simulator learning missions are coupled with each lesson teaching students to fly through boxes in the sky. Students may fly from any airfield on the planet in one of 100 planes using Lockheed Martin’s global flight software Prepar3D®. Each simulator can be configured to fly from the school’s local home field.
